The XLPGL-G (Long Barrel) is required when mounting through thick covers or enclosures, typically where the wall thickness exceeds 3/4". The XLPGSL-G (Short Barrel) is used for standard thin-wall control stations.
The XLPGL uses long-life LED technology, whereas the XLPG uses a traditional incandescent slide-base lamp. Both utilize the same explosion-proof housing and 3/4" NPSM mounting.
